Hello OLV families,
I hope you are doing well! It was so good to see everyone back together last weekend!! As we settle into the CCD routine, here are a couple of announcements:
Regular Classes this weekend: Everyone reports to the their regular classroom meeting spots this weekend (High School--cafeteria, Grades 1-8--signs in gym, and Kindergarten--to the Activities Center).
CCD aides: We could still use a few people to assist our program as aides or guest aides/teachers. You need to be Confirmed and do the necessary diocesan paperwork. If you have clearances for the school district or your job, much of that paperwork transfers over if it is current. Aides assist the catechist in the classroom each Sunday and do not do prep work. Guest teachers are given lesson plans ahead of time to cover our catechists when they are away. If we have enough people, aides can also be on a rotating schedule. In particular, we are still looking for long-term help for Grade 6 as well as someone willing to work with students with special needs (1:1 aide). We cannot run CCD without volunteers so thank you for considering to help!
Adult Catechesis: Classes for adults wishing to deepen their knowledge of the faith are held during CCD times each Sunday. See attached flyer. Drop off the kids, grab a cup of coffee, and join us! We asked the Blessed Mother to pray for our program; come learn more about her and the Trinity.
