This is a follow-up to our our initial distribution of guidelines, dates, and requirements. There is info about
Sponsor selection,
Discipleship Event sign-up, and
Service opportunities (Parish Bazaar sign-up; potential interest for an Advent VBS-style afternoon for kids).

OLV parishioners meeting the sponsor criteria do not need to fill out a Sponsor Certification form because we can verify that info in the church office. Other sponsors need to submit the Certification form via the website. A sponsor-student at-home assignment will be sent out later in October.
If you are having trouble selecting a sponsor, please let me know because perhaps we can make a suggestion of a parishioner at OLV.
Discipleship Events Sign-up:We are asking all students to select their
second Discipleship Event via this sign-up (put the
student name in the My Comment box if parents are using their email):

The January 28th Hallow speaker is a Discipleship Event option for SJCA students, but this is a CCD class for CCD students (no sign-up required). The evening will begin with Thursday night Mass followed by the speaker.
Service Opportunities: Be an Answer to Someone's Prayer!If you are looking for service opportunities, here are several:
Parish Bazaar, Saturday November 9th, 8:30-4:00pm, OLVCS Gym
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0A48ABAD2EABFF2-66171332-the2026 Advent Afternoon: This event has not been announced yet, but I wanted to offer families of the parish with elementary school kids an opportunity for a VBS-style afternoon of activities and preparation for Christmas. I am fielding volunteers.
